Travel Information
Required Documentation
A valid passport is required for travel to Costa Rica. Your passport must be valid for at least three months from your travel date. If you do not have a passport, please apply for one. How to Apply for A Passport.
Airport
You will fly into Liberia Guanacaste Airport. The airport is approximately one hour from the hotel – Welcome To Liberia Guanacaste Airport (LIR).
Language
The predominant language in Costa Rica is Spanish. English is spoken fluently by many residents and most everyone in the tourism industry.
Electricity
The electrical current used in Costa Rica is 110 volts. All outlets are compatible with US plugs.
Airport Transfers
Airport transfers will be provided upon your arrival and on departure.
Currency
The national currency is known as the colón (plural: colones), but dollars are widely accepted in tourist areas and other places around the country; something many visitors to Costa Rica find convenient is the fact that U.S. dollars are accepted virtually everywhere. This means you won’t have to waste a lot of time converting your cash into Costa Rican colones.
